People with IS250 AWDs need to have the same size rims in the front and rear, not to exceed 8.5 inches wide.
The ones with the IS250 and IS350 can have the same size wheels in the front and rear, but can also have staggered setups (different widths in the front and rear)

Well with the staggered set-up, you can't rotate your tires, which is I think the biggest (and maybe the only) disadvantage.
I think all of it's advantages are performance-related. You put the wider tires in the back since those are the drive wheels to give better acceleration and maybe try to limit oversteer.

Thanks for the compliments Tony1! The roads in El Paso are OK in some areas and some are really messed up. I always am extra careful when driving around just in case...

The difference is the tire width in the front and rear. Like Rocket said, there are some advantages and disadvantages depending on the setup you get. I chose to go staggered for performance and looks as well
