I have a Millenium silver SC430 and I can't complain cause I have absolutely no issues w/ regular maintenance every day. Dust and dirt is hardly visible even if I don't wipe it down for weeks.

Thus, if I was going to be happy w/ myself and driving the color that I really like, I would get the Matador Red. Not as much maintenace but way better than maintaining a darker color vehicle.

It all boils down to how daily, frequently or often you maintain the specified paint color w/ the appropriate detailing products on the market and using the right towels/pads/brushes.

I have Obsidian(Black) only because it was the best color for the X-pkg. It was also the showroom car. If the X-pkg came in RED, that would have been my first choice. It is a unique deep rich red, not a hoochie bright red lipstick color if you know what i mean. I chose the wheels over the color and I didn't want to wait 3-5 months for a special order. My black gets dirty too fast. The dust starts to stick to it about 2.5 seconds after I detail it. You won't be disappointed with the red b/c it is unique and will get lots of looks!

I now have the Matador Red IS350 on order, with delivery hopefully second week of November since they had my exact car on order already at the dealership. I am really looking forward to this new car. I LOVE how the IS looks and drives. It will be my first RWD car and hope I don't regret that decision this winter. I will be getting snows for the car of course. Thanks for the help on the colour decision guys, I don't think I'll regret it. I haven't seen a single red IS in downtown Toronto yet, so I'll have a unique car for a little while at least. In fact , I don't see many IS's at all in downtown Toronto. BMW's seem to rule here, the 3 series is more common than a civic or corolla in my part of town.

Matador red - you will love it.

Females love it too - a chick magnet color.
