Thanks for the info! Keep us posted!

This may be a naive question, but do I negotiate the price of the car when I place the special order or when it comes in? Seems like I've heard conflicting reports from people.

When you place the order of course!!!

Otherwise, you could wait 4 months, then have the dealer say "MSRP or nothing!", lol, man that would suck!!

OK, I'm through pressuring you now
My sentiments exactly. Might as well get the order started and get in the queue. Take out a loan from E-Loan at about 6% for the bridge between car possession and your CD maturities. The interest will be negligible for a couple of months and you'll have your car that much sooner. Of course if you are a masochist and like being tortured by waiting that is another story. But I find there is always a way to get around a timing problem.

I ordered a 07 350 with Lux W/18"-Nav-ML-Parking and little ****. The MRSP should be approx 47K. The mark up on this vehicle is approx $5500 to $6K. I visited several close Stealers and they would not go lower then $3K over invoice. I was not willing to pay that amount of profit to any Stealer. Instead I emailed every Stealer in NJ and offered to pay $2K over invoice. A couple were willing to except my offer. I selected the closest Stealer and signed the deal.

Has anyone bought a 2IS in the south Florida, Orlando/Tampa, or Jacksonville areas? I am pretty flexable to buy mine in any of those areas. acually anywhere in the vacinity of FLA. Just as long as I can get back to jax to have it shipped to me.

Thanks.
