IS250 story
Well I've been on ClubLexus for a few months now and I own a 99 GS & 05 GX470 as you can see in my sig. Well just recently my girlfriend got hit in her Mini Cooper on the freeway (btw shes in one piece but in ALOT of pain) and Brecht BMW's body shop declared the car a total loose today. So the insurance company of course is paying her out and since her car was a fully loaded 06 Cooper S with 3k on the odometer she is getting a nice chunk of change and I'm pitching in a few extra thousand to help her get the car she feel in love with.
Her good friend drives a 2005 C230 Kompressor and she thought its a cute car, so we spent half of today looking at the damn thing. Afterwards I mentioned the IS250 and of course she isn't very familiar with cars so she wanted to see one. Love at first sight, as I pulled into the Lexus dealership after visiting the Mercedes dealership and parked right next to a Breakwater Blue Metallic IS250. She asked "What car is that its sooo nice?!!" I said thats the IS250, she fell in love. She test drove a Matador Red Mica on Black and Desert Sage Metallic on Black IS250 loaded with Navi. I must say that voice command is a nice feature and the touch less key program reminds me of my moms SL55 with her SmartCard. The back up camera is a nice feature and she loves it since she works at a Childrens Center.
Well at the end of the day she decided she wants it, as far as what color and options she is leaning towards the Desert Sage Metallic on Black with the Navi and chrome wheels. Now all she has to do is wait for the check and law suit to settle
I showed her the sight and she thought it was really cool especially the meets and stuff so maybe we'll attend some IS meets after she picks it up
