Cool Anyone want my Maple Wood Trim

I recently purchased an IS 250 with nav.
I got a great deal in terms of price and overall package. My only complaint was the Maple Wood Trim, which was included, and is something I really don't want.
Evidently it is very popular, and was therefore added to all IS sold in Texas, but personally I hate it.
If anyone has the standard carbon interior trim and would like to "upgrade" to the Maple wood trim for free, maybe we can arrange an exchange - and you'll be doing me a huge favour.
If not, does anyone know where I can get the standard carbon trim?

If you do a search someone sells a carbon fiber overlay, or there are alot of people with the sports package that would want to get rid of their metallic trim.

WRONG! Haha, most, if not all 2IS owners I've spoken to HATE this trim and would love to "downgrade" to the metallic trim. Oh, and I think Pocky has dibs on anyone wanting to trade trims...

Personally, I love the wood trim, it adds to the Lexus luxury image, even the ladies seem to like it.

Cashmere interior. Now thats elderly...

Wow...

The Wood trim looks great!! Its not some chessy old grainy wood trim that you find in a 1995 clunker, it is a dark deep color that breathes some contrast into the car, the silver metallic overaly makes the interior look cheap and clashes w/ the other alluminum accents

I'm surprised how many of you don't like the wood grain. Most luxury car lines have wood accenting, and personally I find the silver to be cheap looking.

Huh, why would anyone w/the Sport pkg want wood trim - kind of an oxymoron. If I wanted wood I would've got the Luxury pkg . . .

Whoa rookie, time to do some growing up here. If you think the 'ladies' like you for your trim, just wait til they separate you from your cash & youthful enthusiasm. I have the cashmere interior and I bet I can still whup your butt . . .

I love the Auburn maple trim in the IS. It is one of the reasons that I like the IS.

I haven't seen any decent overlay type things for the interior accents. I wish they would come out with a rich shiny black, like a piano black I guess. I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

How would one remove the wood trim if they didn't want it.

i had a '04 acura tsx, and it came standard with the metallic finish, you actually had to pay more for the wood, so now with the lexus you get wood for free, and have to pay to downgrade to metallic look...i too would have like the metallic look over the wood on my is...

Really? We must speak to two totally different types of people. I've had the exact opposite expierence. The vast majority of people i've spoken to prefer the wood trim, including myself.
