I was making aerosol cans yesterday (full disclosure: I won't mention my company's name because I'm not trying to plug, but I'm in the paint business and can make aerosols, touch-up's, etc of any color) of my Matador Red IS to paint some license plate hole plugs and was very surprised to find that it's a 3-stage color.
So I went to Lexus.com to see if there is an additional charge maybe built into the base price of the car, but there's not. Some goes for the Starfire too...three stage, but no extra charge.
Usually any 3-stage color is extra charge on any car. So either Lexus is giving everyone a great deal on theses colors
or thy're ripping off everyone that buys black, gray, silver, etc!
Another interesting point is the quaility of the paint jobs on these cars. Lexus, by far, has the nicest stock paintjob I've seen on any car; barring Maybach's, RR's, and ultra high-end cars. For mass produced vehicles, the paint is remarkably smooth and low in orange peel.

The only two I know for sure are Starfire and Matador Red. If someone posts all the codes for the two years, I'll check them and post whether they are 3-stage or two.

Yes that might be the only problem with the car. With 306 hp on tap it will be hard to stay below the speed limit.
