The 13.1 time was done with ALOT of weight removed from the car. He is basically making his IS350 a full blown race car with it stripped out and I believe he has a supercharger now. DNSZoom and myself with just intake mods and cool temps are getting similar times and trap speeds with mid/low 13's at over 104mph. Also I have to agree with DNSZoom in that the best times are achieved with the tranny in D and ECT Pwr on.

Also I think I am a "strip" junkie and hope to also be a track junkie in the next year. Actually going to the "strip" again tonight. I'll take a few videos of my runs and some runs of others and post later.

what track do you go to? MIR? I plan on putting on JIC coilovers, wheels, a true dual HKS exhaust when and If it comes out, an ARC airbox if they make one. Then I'm dynoing the car before I hit the strip.

Had been going to Capitol, but finally got fed up with their crappy track and broken time displays. I went to MIR last Friday and it's MUCH better. It's a little further away, but worth the drive and Fridays are for all street legal cars ONLY, which makes it nice. You should come down tonight. I'll be there around 5:30

In the mist of all the whoo haa hoorah, I'm not sure if this guy's question was even answered. Why does everything on this site have to be such a drama fest?

Are you asking if the ECU learns your driving style, then shifts accodringly? Yes, I believe it does, but others here with more knowledge might be able to comment more if it werent for troll mongers making a mess of legitimate questions. I think you can disconnect the battery to reset the ECU, drive liek abat out of hell and the car will perform slightly better, but I'm not sure if that's 100% true or proven.

Racing is alot of trial and error. I do notice that in different gears the car will shift at various rpms. I believe 1st gear it usually shifts around 6500 and 2nd/3rd closer to the redline. I'll try to watch tonight and see what happens.

I was planning on going to the strip tomorrow for the first time. But unfortunately it is close for the season. Keep us posted of your adventures caymandive, it will keep me from going crazy until next season!

yeah I was thinking about reset the ECU and beat on the car before I hit the track just to see if it runs more agressive. I do agree with some members that the best times are with tranny in D and PWR ECT on.
