I think tracking any car is fun, heck it'd be fun in the bloated LS (it's a luxury car). Although I do agree the IS feels a bit neutral/isolated compared to some other cars. @ CL guys, this isn't a troll, I still like the IS quite a bit, I just don't agree with it's steering feedback. If Lexus wanted the car to "track" better, they could, but they'd be giving up some luxury.

Anyways, anyone have any vids on the track?

Well considering the new Supra is to be built on the IS platform I'd say Toyota has saved the performance edge of the IS for it's pure sports car and gave the luxury to Lexus.

I hope they figure out a way to get about 400 lbs off the car if it's going to be the new Supra. if it's 3600 lbs like the IS, it'll be a class leader for porky weight.

dont run 14.1 and 383rwhp cars should not run 13.8
Wow, it's obvious you're just a punk kid who "bench races" and pulls his numbers of the internet. I, on the other hand, have real world experience with all of these cars. And yes, if you had checked, you would see that I live in Arizona. Heat and elevation hurts our times down here. But I'm comparing ALL of these cars that I'VE driven AT THE SAME TRACK!!! How 'bout I do this for you... take off .5 from each cars times, that's what they would run at a better track. But again, I'm sure you already know this... cough cough.....

well i have had my is350 for about a month now... i have never tracked it... and i can say that my 99 mustang cobra is much faster and i don't even have a supercharger. i was putting down 315 rwhp with the cobra it had all the bolt ons, exaust, intake, gears, and it ran mid 12's all day at 110-112 mph. Saying the best you could get out of a car with almost 400 rwhp is 13.8 is straight up embarassing for whoever is driving the car.

this punk kid 1/4 tracks his high 11 sec c5 every other weekend with a bunch of other mid thirty year old punks with a srt charger and srt 300 and mid 12sec mustang with no blowers.....i don't really bother racing my is....whats the point.... its a nice car....thats not going to impress anyone with a mid to high 13 sec run and a 2.0 60 foot time...as for taking a .5 off your time maybe.....but i still prefer my original idea of u only of u driving a rebadged 300c

If you knew so much about Mustangs, you probably would know that an '05 automatic GT with only a bolt-on Paxton blower putting out that kind of power would only run 13.8's in 100 degree Arizona heat. Yes, many of us have owned clapped out old Mustangs with gears, and yes, they can be quick. I've owned a '90 LX, '91 LX, '98 Cobra, '03 Cobra Convertible, and an '05 GT with a Paxton. Bring that "mid 12" car out here to AZ in the summer. You'll be lucky to pull a low 13.

And Vette-boy... I've owned an '00 C5 FRC, '03 Heads/Cam/Headers/etc Z06, and an '05 C6. You wanna know what myZ06 ran here, on street tires? 12.4 @ 119, here in AZ. Yes, I suck at driving (I held the fastest run of the night in my '00 FRC and the best reaction time two different nights).

Anyway, I'm getting bored with the experts... I'll let you guys talk it up...

what makes you think those of us take our IS to the track trying to impress other people? I take my car to the track because I love to race, I rather do it there than on the street and I don't need a 12s car to enjoy racing either. I spent $45k on my IS, if I want a 12s stock car I can get a used C5 Z06 or a C6 Vette with not much difference in price. Just because you go to the track to impress other people with your 1/4 time doesnt means everyone else doing the same thing.

PS: oh yeah, a high 11s C5 vette isn't that big of a thing to brag about anyway. My buddy just bought a used C5 Z06 bone stock for $29k and he runs 12.2, with a couple thousands of $ in it, it wouldn't have any problem running mid 11s.
