ECT Pwr button, use it all the time?
Hey guys,
was wondering if it was BAD to leave the ECT Power button ON all the time. Just for that extra juice. i called the dealer and spoke to a service advisor, he said its fine and wouldnt damage the car. Does anyone drive with it on all the time??? btw, i have an IS250 if that matters.

I think the point of the Power mode is to shift at higher rpms and closer to peak power output of the engine. If you can read a graph, you can see the HP vs RPM change. Yeah it uses a bit more gas, but if you're driving a Lexus, you're rich and can afford it.

There was a noticeable difference in response when driving my IS300 in ECT-power mode. I left in on at all times.
How's ECT perform on the 2IS? Is there a noticeable difference in response?

I have always left my power button on with my 2008 GS350 and never had issues until lately.
After scanning my car and having the work done that came up for the codes, shortly after doing the work the check engine and vsc light came on again. I then pressed the power/snow mode button off back and forth and then made sure the power mode was off then turned my car off. Something told me to turn my car back on and all of a sudden the check engine and vsc light went off. Has anyone had this happen and may know if there is something wrong with the power button or anything that I should replace or fix due to this happening?
