Just spoke to John. Nice guy. He's right down the street from me, although it doesn't really matter since he runs a mobile business out of his house.

He will be sending me an e-mail later tonight with pictures and such.

I will post them once I get them.

He quoted me $800. I imagine that does not include the DVD player because I told him that I was only looking for the RCA jacks & a 3 prong power plug. He said the hardware is pretty solid. He also seemed very knowledgeable, especially about doing Lexus installs. He does the video work over at Longo Lexus.

Anyways, give him a ring, he's very nice to chat with on the phone and he'll even be willing to fly out to do your install. He's based out of Mission Viejo, CA.

This module is expensive... but to me it is worth it in some aspects.

What it does it that it emulates the DVD Video that is factory on the ML NAV Systems.

Can mojo confirm if $800 is for the part only or $800 for the module w/ installation?

$800? interesting. for those on the fence, video is definitely worth it as I play DVDs almost everyday since it gets dark early. I'm just looking for a video iPod solution (the video piece) so $800 might be a bit much for me. If the $800 includes the install, you may as well do the install yourself and reduce the price.

I plan to use this Module with an INPUT SELECTOR.

Input 1 - DVD Changer
Input 2 - To the Glove Compartment for Ipod Video, Gaming Console, Digital Camera, or etc etc...

in the mode where you hold say the temp buttom and flicker the light on off on off... you go into that special menu.. there's a thing for DVD there... maybe there's a enable disable function... 800 is a bit too steep for just a module....
