The Kenwood source selector is about $150.00. It has an built in AMP to maintain good feed to the monitor.

It has 3 inputs and 3 outputs.

How does it work?

Each output has their own Wired Remote. Each wired remote can select the Inputs.

Since I am using the Nav Screen as the Monitor, I will only be installing 1 remote.

In the future, I will be installing 2 more remotes and 2 more headrest monitors. Each headrest monitor will have their own remote.

Oh yeah... each remote has their own headphone jack. This is needed for the back seat passengers.

Wait... are you asking how do I turn on the source at the OEM Nav? With the module Nav TV, all i have to do is press the DISC button Twice.

so technically if you hooked up a ps2 to the navtv you can get dvds and ps2 gaming w/o the need for the converter..?

If you want to hook up a ps2 ONLY, then you will not need a input selector.

as opposed to a ps2 and another external dvd player? I can see the need for one with the headrest tvs though. do you need another input for the actual TV function (to watch cable)

Nav TV has 1 set of inputs.

If you would like to hook up additional devices, you will need a input selector to connect to the Nav TV input.

Does it all make sense to you?

To watch cable, you will need a cable TV tuner. Not sure where you can buy a mobile cable TV tuner.. but goodluck.

The parts won't be in until Wed. of Next Week.

I'll have to see then when I will have time to install them.
