With the Remote Eye... You can virtually mount the unit in the trunk and be able to control the unit via remote. Simply aim the remote towards the Remote Eye and it will work!.

You would mount the Remote Eye on the Dash somewhere...

ahh.. it also has Input... so anything else with RCA will daisy chain too!

so all you do is buy that cord.. buy that DVD unit.. and your done?? how do you switch on/off the the screen from dvd to navi and etc..

hopefully it jus picks up an auxilary input... i guess if someone buys the connection cord they can just hood up their home dvd player and just send a signal to test it... if anyone is bout to do a navi hack.. i touwld be nice to try that also..

if the sounds comes from the auxport and has to be in aux mode... and the video comes from the dvd mode... wouldnt that mean you would get sound and no video in aux mode and vice versa?

no one knows how it works. there will be no group buy. i have the cord on order. once i recieve it and install it, i will let everyone know if it works or not.

thanks car lost.. all we need is a cord and just a regular dvd player to see how it works... i would think in the audio section of the navi menu it should report a new function for DVD .. just like how when you add sound to aux.. it sees the signal and it automatically repsonds to it... i would think this should be the same as the dvd... hoepfully if the computer for the navi/screen computer is the same as the dvd..

i'm hoping the solution will work, if it's not too difficult...i would like to play the videos in my ipod on the nav display. tired of burning dvds.

i should of been more clear... there will be no group buy on my part. you can try contacting one of the vendors here and see if they can get this product if it does end up working.
