SWEET! Keep us posted. My local car audio shop said they would do the mod for me if it worked. If you can provide pictures of the test and it working I would be willing to send half of the cost to you for your materials.

wow guys .. i have been waiting for this in a long time.. i just hope this works out for all of us non-ml drivers.. plz keep us updated .. i have also talked to my Car Audio shop.. and they said they do the install for me..

my honest opinion is that there is about a 10% chance this works plug and play, audio and everything else and about 30% chance it will work in some capacity but will require further research/work to get to what we all desire. As much as I'd like to get my hopes up I just can't.
In other news, a forum post over at Vais said all of their video units should be out by the end of the year. I can only hope it would include the 2IS
