ipod connectivity question

I don't have an IPOD, but I'm planning to get one. What kind of cable do I need to hook it up to my 2IS? Is it just a regular stereo cable with only one prong on each end?

That thread doesn't discuss the superiority of cables that plug into the dock connector instead of the headphone jack. The Sik ramdin or equivalent is better than the simple mini-plug to mini-plug patch cables recommended in the thread you've linked.
