Nice choice. If I had waited until now to buy a new car instead of Feb, I'd be ordering a 335i. I've been reading on e90post that with simple ecu remapping and exhaust the car is putting out 332whp.

3.55's in the Lightning, 3.27 (I believe) in the Corvette. The first year of the 2nd gen Lightnings also ran 3.27's. It made little difference. So your arugment of the gearing makes no sense. We're not talking 2.73's compared to 4.56's on an old clapped out Mustang 5.0. The Vette/Lightning run very similar gears. And yes, the top-speed comment is, well, we all know better than that. I'm talking 0-60, 0-100, 1/4 mile... when talking about torque. The Lightning doesn't win (or tie) those races because of the gearing. It does it because it's putting down 385rwhp/485rwtq to the Vette's 310rwhp/330rwtq. (Yes, I dyno AND 1/4 mile all of my cars).

But to get away from the Forum arguing and back to the thread... The 335i should be here by next weekend! And if any of you local guys want to come over and check it out, let me know!
