Default 55watt bulbs not lighting up

There have been a lot of posts regarding this issue, but no one has really answered the question. I purchased some nokya 55watt hyper yellow bulbs to replace the OEM fogs. The OEM fogs are rated at 51watts and not 55 watts. A lot of people have been saying that there should be no problem running the bulbs. I beg to differ, the noky bulbs don't even turn on. So can someone please answer this question once and for all..do I have to find a 51watt yellow bulb or will 55watt bulbs work (meaning my bulbs sucked to begin with)?

55watts would be perfectly fine. Are you certain you had turned on the 'parkers' before trying to switch fogs on?

Are you sure the OEM fog is 51W? I thought that as long as the type is 9006 and the watt not higher that the OEM one is fine... good to know if that is a problem... Anyway I replace my OEM with HIDs so should be OK!?

Just look in the manual...........

the fogs are rated at 51watts, but the fuses are rated at 15A. The difference between 55 and 51 watt bulbs is only 0.5A...

Put it this way, the difference in wattage is about the same as a 5 watt parking globe!!
