And to think that my '01 Highlander came with heated windshield and my IS350 does not

I wonder why? Our Canadian winters are just as cold than Sweden’s.

Judging by the photo of the lighting stalk, it looks like you either have the rear fog light on or the front fog lights on, but not both. Is this correct? That would seem odd.

The two choices are probably front fog lamps or both. If the fog was dense enough to require rear fog lamps, you'd certainly want the front ones on.

As an aside, I'm glad that the American ISs don't have rear fog lamps. American drivers don't understand them, and I've seen way too many idiots with German cars looking like they have a broken brake light because they are running the rear fogs in good weather.

Bichon,

Absolutly correct - If you use the rear fog litghts the front ones are automatically on as well.

regards
Don

PS: I think all european IS models come with the heated windshield (or at least the luxury) as I have it on my German one as well.

But then again thats only fair, you guys get better choices in engines etc

In fact in order to have the rear fog light on you have to first switch on the front fog and one thing I have to mention is that the rear fog light will automaticly switch off everytime you turn off the engine. The rear fog light buttom works as follow: switch once to turn on and switch once to turn off(it always switch back to the front fog light position automaticlly)...

It's human nature to covet what you can't have. I wish our cars had the side marker lights, but no way would I trade the 3.5L engine for them.
