Also... how would you figure 6000K is brighter then 4800K? Look over the specs for the amount of lumens outputted.
Also..> Are the Projectors differant? YES! Halogen projectors are designed for central hot spots.. not dispersement of light.
Halogen may appear brighter... Why? Becuase of the Central hot Spot.. But i assure you the width and the consistent dispersement of light is nothing compared to OE HID Projectors.
Oh yeah... Why do people think the OEM HID's are reflector type system? Please note.. the OEM bulb is D4S... meaning as sealed.. for Projectors.

blah blah blah... I love my OEM HID's. Why would you want HID's but not get them with the car, then pay someone to install an aftermarket set that does not auto level or have AFS? Color? That's not worth it to me to have a couple of jerry rigged ballasts floating around under my hood.
Nobody has mentioned that with the price of the OEM's you also get Lexus quality, reliability AND the WARRANTY!! AFS is really cool when going up twisty mountain roads at night...Besides, I didnt think you could opt out the HID's on the car.
You want ML, NAV, and the rest of the LUX or Sport options and you get HID's. Get the strippy version and you get no HID's..unless you special order I guess, is this not correct?

wow you're right, so what do you call that thing that the bulb sit in and project the light onto the lens? I did a pair of TSX retro back in the day but I guess didn't know what it really call.
