I'm in the same boat STIG's in...I had an 02 type-s before I bought my IS. The acura handles better and is a faster car than the IS250, stock vs stock. As for the 350, the rsx WILL handle better on the track but, the 350 is a much faster car...again, stock vs stock.

doesn't the rsx-s have like 230hp? compared to 204 for the is250. the rsx-s is also like 700lbs lighter. my friend has an 05 rsx-s and i always say how slow it is out of fun... but that's only cause i have a 350. that thing is very quick and should beat out the 250 in all aspects.
actually, just go race in a twisty forest. she'll get lost and you can use your nav and win. =)

I think you're gonna lose on both..handling and I KNOW for speed. RSX-S is a hyper lil car. Get a 350 & race on straight road if you wanna win! Don't embarrass yourself! Good luck though!

Don't be shame about lost Acura RSX Type S...RSX Type S is lightweight sport coupe compared 3500 pounds IS250! By the way, RSX is manuel transmisson race with IS250 Auto. RSX Type S 100% won

Ok, I've owned an 06 RSX Type-S with aspec suspension and now own an IS250 RWD.
First off the RSX is more nimble, however if you are going to be on a road coarse that has any type of long turns, the RSX sucks. Once into the turn the back end lifts up and starts to wobble. Then you get the serious understeer.
The aspec suspension help some. I think people confuse how stiff the car turns to how well it handles.
As far as speed not much contest, the RSX is probably 8/10 of a second faster in the 1/4 mile.
If you had equal drivers on a small tight coarse I'd take the RSX. If the coarse is higher speed with longer turns I'd take the IS250.
Frankly the driver makes the biggest differences, especially in a stick shift.
Goodluck.

I just got back from the World Cup Finals where I was in the Stock Street group and I was up against an RSX with some bolt-ons and weigh reduction and slicks in the front and he beat me. It had no NOS, no Turbo and not S/C, but light enough to beat me with a 13.252@105.54 compared to my 13.382@105.06. I was pretty darn impressed and so was he when I told him my car was stock.

Hey caymandive, when are you planning to put an exhaust to help get into the 12's. Sorry to get off topic.. but it is so awesome how someone can keep getting lower time with just an intake..

Well there was another IS350 at the track yesterday with the new HKS exhaust and a LMS intake and his best run was a 13.5, so I'm thinking I won't be getting an exhaust anytime soon until I see a proven gain. It's really too bad because that exhaust sounds sweet. I asked him if he was on clublexus and he said not yet, but I invited him to come check it out.
