Question IS250 v. RSX-s

So I got into a little rift last night about this one. Hopefully someone has had the experiance already or owned the car before.

I think the IS will out handle and maybe out accelerate this car but am not to sure on the accelerating. I am sure, however, that the IS can outhandle the RSX.

We may go to the track next weekend to settle it so I just wanted some feedb ack on if I am going to put the IS name to shame or not. I don't see how an Acura, let alone and RSX (front wheel drive) will out handle a 40K Lexus IS.

Any thoughts? Suggestions to help me win?

Oh her car is I think a 2002 or 2003 RSX-S

nope.. i dont think the IS 250 will out accelerate the the RSX type-s. i think car and driver clocked one at 14.8 @95 in the quarter mile. im certain that the 250 cant beat that..

Yeah I the RSX-S is faster.

If the person has the Hondata ecu reflash, then you are toast.

Can it out-handle an IS? Who is more likely to win at a salem track?

I have a friend with an RSX. It has 205hp and is less weight then your car. I think it will be faster in every aspect if she is a good driver. Those cars are very nimble and very quick. Acura's are very good vehicles. Do you both have an auto or a stick? Now if you had the 350 it would be a different story. Anyways, good luck!!

i think that the handling will be very close for both cars maybe the Rsx will be even better because of weight, since it is faster then the IS, i'll pretty much say she'll win, unless she can't drive

rsx-s only comes in manual so your is250 is going to lose.

I don't have an IS250 but I used to own a supercharged RSX-S. Stock for stock the IS350's handling so much better than the RSX. If you noticed the RSX-S, it sits high like a truck and it handles like a boat when stock. The only thing good about that car is the motor. It has a very high redline and it can take a lot of beating. The RSX-S weights about 2700lbs without the driver.

So should I stray away from racing her on a track? I think I'm a pretty good driver and have the ***** to push the car more than she would I think. Also, her car is 100% stock?

I used to have RSX-S. Sorry to disappoint you but I don't think you can match RSX-S on the track. The car is lighter, more agile, high rev motor, and quicker. I may be biased but I still feel like RSX-S handles much better than my IS350 despite it was FWD.
