350 has my vote...
1) More powerful engine for the times you need it. And believe me, I've already needed it.
2) It's lightly used... better than new b/c it's been depreciated but still in new condition (assuming no accidents).
3) Is AWD more suitable for your area? I decided based on my personal situation here in Oregon. If you can get around just as easily in a IS350 during winter, get the 350. If you need the AWD for the winter, than that might suit you more.
4) If you buy the 350 and realize you need the 250AWD, you can always sell the IS350 and not lose too much money b/c it's already been depreciated some. Then go and buy the AWD.
Good Luck!

I say drive the 350 then hop into a 250 and floor it. That should answer your question!

You should go with the used IS350. It is a (toyota) lexus, as long as its carfax is clean and the condition/maintenance is good, you will buy just-like-new car and save some money. During winter driving, buy a set of top of the line snow tires (Blizzak for example) and you should be good (same if not better than AWD with all season). In 12"+ snow, you will not drive the IS anyway regardless awd or rwd as the ground clearance is very low.
If it had been *new* IS250AWD vs *new* IS350, than perhaps money + hp tradeoff + rwd/awd are the deciding factors. In your case, IMHO, 2 out of the 3 factors are on the used IS350.
Good luck.
