First of all, I would just like to say that my IS350 is the *****S!!! I LOVE MY CAR!.. anyways, the only problem i have with the car is that it was suppose to be equiped with the illuminating scuff plates and after a few days of driving ive noticed that it wasn't illuminating. After reading the manual to see if there was some sort of switch to turn it on/off, i called the dealership. They told me to bring the car in and they will fix it asap. After getting the car back they told me that the car isn't even equipped with the illuminating scuff plates and that they are going to order the parts from Japan.

They told me that 5 other 07 ISs in Hawaii have the same problem. Just wanted to inform you guys to check to see if everyone with a 07 has their scuff plates because there is being a SEMI-recall on all 07's with illuminating scuff plates in hawaii...

Oh and the only thing that im upset about is that they told me they will get back to me in about 2-4 weeks and if not then give them a call....

 

Hmm, Hawaii must have different packages - Illum scuff plates are only standard on the Luxury pkg or X-pkg in the other 48 states. I have an '06 and installed the Illum scuff plates as an aftermarket mod since it's not standard on the Sport pkg.

 

Hawaii is completely different from the mainland. It goes through Servco Hawaii which I believe deals directly with Lexus Japan. The packages, options, can all be different. We even get a slightly different MSRP I believe.

 

haha a big MISTAKE for the Lexus staff in Japan... Anyway wish your scuff plates arriving soon...

 

What package did you get? Illuminating scuff plates only comes with luxury package and X-package.

 

i got the luxury sports package... and i know my car is suppose to be equipped with the illuminating scuff plates because its written on the sticker that was on the window.. Also because i special ordered my car and my salesman knew exactly what i wanted....

 

Do you have the rear sunshade and wood trim ? Maybe they screwed up and shipped you a Sport pkg instead . . .

 

If i remember correctly, you can have either the luxury package or the sport package. if you have wood grain trims than you have the luxury package.

 

i dont have wood trim... And my car is SUPPOSE to be equipped with the illuminating scuff plates. It says so on the sticker and on all the paper work.

Sounds like you might have gotten a sport pkg, instead of Lux Pkg......
