Default Picture of Nav 6.1 disk?

Anyone have a picture of the new navigation disc coming out with the 2007 models? Did a search but came up with nothing. I am trying to figure out what year the Navteq map data was taken from.

My 5.1 disk has "2004 Navteq" written on the front. Does that mean that the map information is from 2004? Seems acurate to me

No idea but I just got an email from Lexus-Parts and there is a new NAV disc update out, 06.1. Bought my 06 is September, version is 05.1.

Someone posted that if you install the new NAV DVD you will not be able to use the software destination hack any longer, just thought you'd like to know that.

I am interested in this e-mail too.
I have phoned lexus and I am supposed to be on a list of people to call when the new disk comes in.
I got my car in September and if I got it in October I would have probably got the new disk with the car.
All I want is the updated map data, the 5.1 disk is so crappy in Calgary.

You don't need the email... data version 06.1 noted at the bottom of the picture.

At this point there is no information regarding the update. This could be a simple map update and nothing else or it could be the disc included in the 2007's.

Still want to see a picture of the 6.1 disc so we can see the U-# and other information. Or if anyone just wants to post that information it would be nice.

Version 6.1 will have updated map and poi information from navteq.

Picture anyone?
or at least what does it say next to the NAVTEQ ? Probably 2004 or 2005
How updated are the maps.

On a side note the Eclipse 1.2 disk works in my car... minus all of the voice command files. From the file structure the Eclipse 1.2 disk is the same as the U20 disk that comes with 2006 Toyota's. The U30 Disk that comes from Lexus is the same as the U20 plus some more files and directories for the voice commands, bluetooth...ect.

Eclipse 1.2 map data 2003
U20 5.1 map data 2004
U30 5.1 map data 2004
U30 6.1 map data ????

There's no information that indicates that anything other than the map data will be updated.

There is good evidence in that everyone who has received the new disk with their '07 vehicle has updated software that removes the override.

The good news is that any new software on the disk won't be loaded unless you (or the dealer) reboots the nav system. So you ought to be able to swap the new disk in without rebooting and retain the override feature.

From the user who updated to the latest NAV DVD, it includes a new firmware version that disables the hidden screen hack. If you update to the new NAV DVD let us know for sure, more than one user's experience would be more definitive.
