Default new valve stems needed? tpms?

are new valve stems needed if im changing the front two tires?

one place i called said the valve stems are part of the tpms and are reinserted in the new tires..

if they forget to reconnect the tpms will i get a warning right off the bat??

im just confused how the whole tpms and new tire process works

thanks

You do not need new tpms just make sure they reuse the ones that you do have. Odds are you may not even have to have new valves if the old ones were not leaking but even if you do get new valves it should be no issue for them to install the tpms sensors. If you do not have confidence in the people doing the work find a new person. Also if it is not done right the warning light will turn on and may even stay on.

the TPMS sensors are wireless. Its actually a part of the valvestem, so you shouldn't need to replace it unless its leaking or there's a problem with the sensor. if you do, buckle up, cuz they're like $100 a piece.
