Default Spoiler Installation

Did our third installation at Kansai Xenon Service with Harrison last night, and i would really like to recommend his service to anyone around Southern California/San Gabriel Valley who is interested to put his/her spoiler on. It is totally not worth it to have it installed at the dealer paying $200+ for labor while Harrison and his crews can do it for under 40 mins with perfect alignment. (See Pix)

In addition, if anyone's interested of going to Harrison's place, please bring a bottle of touch-up paint of your color for rust preventing purposes after the drilling!

Got it at the dealer for $200 out of the door and the installation is $50 at Harrison's. Let us know if you want to go and we'll be there to help out as well! A couple of us had been hanging over there frequently.

I've been thinking where I can install the spoiler if I bought the spoiler. This is such a good news for me. I live around and this place is close to my work too. Do they do other installations? Like springs/coilover, or exhaust...etc

Looks great. Any tips? Did you do anything above and beyond the supplied instructions? Additional two-sided tape, sealant, etc? Any "gotchas" that we should be aware of? My wife ordered me one for Xmas. Arrived this week. I'll be putting it on in the next week or so. Needless to say she's nervous as !@#$ about me installing it. I told her not to worry...

What do the "supplied instructions" call for? Every spoiler I've ever installed has just involved drilling into the trunk and nuts/bolts... Very simple... Usually takes 5-10 minutes to install a spoiler...

First of all, to clean the entire trunk area well is really important by stripping all the wax off the surface. I've had a little bit of problem letting the template stick to the trunk surface for proper drill-hole positioning.

Other steps of the installation process are pretty much standard. We sprayed some windex on the adhesive tapes that comes with the spoiler and let it kinda "glide" on the trunk surface for proper positioning purpose. After the position is secured and the three screws are bolted on, a heat gun is used to ensure both end as well as the rest of the of the spoiler properly stick to the trunk surface.

Hope this helps with your installation.
