Hi all,
I've seen a few of you post this 'issue' before and was wondering if this is common or if something is bad or maybe something else? Here it is:
I installed my hid kit this past weekend. When i turn on my hids (not auto, actually turning the switch), usually only one of them light up. I then need to turn them off/on again for them both to come up. When one of them doesn't come up, i hear the ignitor or the relay clicking really fast for a second or two and not light up.
However, when i turn the hids off and turn them back on after the car is running a bit, they come on with no problems, no clicking, etc.
So I'm not sure if this is a power issue, a igniter issue, or if this is normal...
Appreciate the thoughts and help
I love how the hids look and hope this is nothing major

i always thought it was my car, mine does the same thing too... on a side note, the relay that mine came with went out on it. so i had to buy a new relay(they are not cheap at all) anyways, water got into the connections and fried the relay. so i bought the new relay and wrapped it in electrical tape to try to keep moisture out.

HID's may not require a lot of power to stay on, but they do need quite a bit for them to ignite. Make sure all the connections are secure and that any ground wires have a solid connection.

I had a similar problem with mine recently. Had them in since the summer and no problems. A couple of weeks ago when the weather got colder, the driver's side light would not come on at engine start up. I would turn the lights off, wait a few minutes then turn them back on and they would then both be working. Looks like it only happens when it cold out.
Anyone else experience this? Could it be due to a bad connection?
