I think we need a DIY sub-forum since most of us here do our own things to our cars as far as installation. I think it would accumulate a lot of things and will help when I finally get that mod that I've been waiting for and don't have to search around for hours to find the DYI thread.
Thanks for your feedback NH!

Part of the goal of the FAQ is to have a list of links to (good) DIY threads, so you have a one stop shop for them. Half of Sections Four and Five are DIY threads... maybe I should segment these out better or put DIY in the titles. My initial thought was to differentiate between what can be done with your OEM 2IS and what requires aftermarket.

Thanks, but I think we should just use the main 2IS forum for that... If folks just want to upload pics use the gallery (and members can browse). If they want feedback, lets put it in the main 2IS forum please.

Thanks Ken and VIk, I'll do a multi-link addition to the FAQ on clear bras and one on spoilers, etc

subforms = good...

I thin that having things in the right subforum speeds up searches and reduces multiple posts and threads.

Links?............... some of these (tint and wheels) are already in the FAQ or stickied.

Wheels posts will never stop BTW. Too much variety and variables.

here is a format from vwvortex that we could probably benefit from... From all the forums that i have been on...this has been the easiest/most organized format. vwvortex how-to/ DIY

We could also probably benefit from a show and shine sub category, where people could post pictures of their new setup (wheels/engine mods, drop, etc.), as well as random 2IS related pics..

And possibly a technical forum for engine mods, maintenance, etc.

What about color threads? Each color having a thread so if people want to look at pix for a certain color? I know a lot of forums have it like that to categorize colors.

Just a suggestion.

I'm sorry I missed this forum before. I have REALLY wanted sub-forums so I didn't have to read all the "guess what color I got" threads, while missing the technical threads that drop off the 1st page so quickly.

NOOO I like the forum the way it is this forum is like a big house, if you add subforums is like splitting all the members to other forums
however I think the only sub-forum it needs to be added is the forum for the new ISF. maybe you can add forums just for DYI or fAQ

Sorry guys, we're going to add the sub-forums. You'll quickly get used to it.

The posts that go into the sub forums are more technical in nature so if you want to stay with a lot of the general questions you can stick to the main forum, if you want to know about suspension and handling you go there. Or performance the other sub forum.

The IS-F will also get its own forum closer to the release of the model publicly. For now we'll keep it here.

FAQ and DIYs we've got a sticky in the main forum for already.
