Question Scratch on Steering wheel leather, how to fix it?

I decided to remove the tint from my IS at it seems that when they were removing the front one they scratched the steering wheel leather (its kind of soft). Any ideas how to fix this?

The dealer should be able to take care of it for free.

whoever scratch it should pay for it to be fixed. the dealership will be able to take care of this (they usually outsource it).

it won't be free but it should be no cost to the car owner.

Try this site: leatherrenew.com

I ordered one of their kits to repair and restore the leather seats in my wife's seven year old Sienna mini van before we sold it. Basically, you use lacquer thinner to prepare the surface (it removes any grime), you wet sand any cracks or cracks/scratches with 600 or 1000 grit sandpaper (yes it worked great), then you use a special compound (sort of like spackling compound) to fill in any minor cracks, let that dry and sand it down. The last step involves applying the specially matched color dye to the leather. The color matched the Toyota Sienna Van original color perfectly.

For a minor scratch, this should be a snap. If you're uncomfortable with this, consider practicing on an old piece of leather first.

...or you can just pay $80 and have somebody else do it, just like new.
