I put the car in S mode today, the first time I have really used it.
I have to say the car has some major pep! I was already doing 80, and the car shifted down beautifully. It moved nicely! And the only reason I was messing around is because there is no one on the interstate this morning due to the fact they are all shopping (I should be off too! But, swapping it for Christmas break. hehe.) Anyway! I was able to hit 100+ very quickly.
But! My question is..... when the car shifts should we be able to feel it? Like if I hit the paddle to go up I feel the car change gears. I don't know if this is normal? My last car was a 5 speed and I controlled the shifting so never really paid attention. I noticed in my friends truck that I can feel his auto shift too, but I figured since this is a Lexus --- you wouldn't be able to feel it?
Does anyone else feel their car shift gears and is this normal? Its not a hard shift, but.. just seems off or maybe I am just worrying too much about it?
BTW I had been driving fro 35 minutes already before I stepped into the car so it should have been completely warmed up.
