Options for HID-type halogen lights
Hi All,
Since HID's conversion kits are a little pricey for my budget at the moment, I'm considering getting HID-type halogen bulbs in the meantime. The IS 350 uses H11 type bulbs for the low beam headlights.
After much investigation, here are a few brands that provide H11 type halogen bulbs:
PIAA Xtreme White Plus (4000K) - $88.00 bucks for a pair.
MTec 2x Super White H11 (4350K) - $26.00 for a pair
Luminics Ultra White H11 (5150K) - $25.00 for a pair
Besides PIAA's, has anyone heard of Mtec or Luminics? I'm looking for a short term replacement to the stock halogen lights. Eventually, I will move up to HID's, but in the meantime, I just want a little more visibility driving at night.
Thanks to all!

I used to have luminics ultra violet as high beams, pretty good bulbs, mine werent very bright since very HID purple in color, but they lasted quite a while and were true to the color (you know how some say they are blue, but when you put them in the beam is white) that sorta thing. I bet their ultra white is brighter and very white from my experiences

and yeah like tt061880 said, in terms of brightness, halogens are pretty limited, and the rule of thumb Color=less light and less color=more light is especially true with halogens
if you want a bright beam I would go with Osram silverstars or even sylvania(however its spelled) silverstars maybe you should try the ultra's that is if you want a bright light, people seem to be ok with them
