I was southbound on I-5 from Bakersfield and the nav kinda got stuck in Fraizer Park.......basically, when I hit Castaic, it revert the map back to the Grape Vine and then began to "track" again......when I was in Passadena, it said I was in Mojave. When I got to Corona, it said I was in Victorville.....when I was in Temecula, it said I was in San Bernardino.......
I turned the car off and on a couple of times and it did not reset. This is the second time this has occured in the past 2 weeks. The first time it reset it self after a few minutes, but this last time it was a good 2 hours of driving and only reset after sitting in my garage over night.
I did nothing to the car other than normal opperations.
Any clue about what seems to be a recoccuring problem now?

There is a new TSB "Navigation System shows vehicle in wrong location" dated 14NOV06 (EL013-06) Give your dealer a call and have them order the replacement DVD, this is for the 2006 IS250/350 , they will let you know if it is affected and it is covered under the 48 month 50K warranty. This disc may disable the software destination change work around.

It has happened to me about four times now. Typically, the nav goes haywire if I end up in a very remote area, or if I am within strong frequencies that may affect the nav system (I have found it to happen beside very big telephone towers, or big rigs).
Go to the menu and you can reset the nav system location yourself. It takes less than a minute to recalibrate it.

I am having issues as it goes buzzurk and takes me in circles around town and tells me to make a left and a half a mile later it says to make a right. This navigation is starting to be useless as it is not efficient especially when I am not familiar with an area of town. The navigaion also does not have half the addresses I enter and this is in the capital of Michigan, Lansing. I have two other Lexus' and they do not do this (Gen 4) and they do not do this.
