Yeah sure. I'll believe it in 5 years. That's what they said about the IS 300, and it had 33% value after only 4 years.

 

yeah, i understand your skepticism, but the second gen IS is a lot more successful and popular than the first gen. i'll wait to see it before i believe it too, but i have much more faith in the second gen retaining value because of it's popularity.

 

Maybe they'll come out with a Fast and the Furious with a 2IS as the replacement star for the supra as in the 1st one. One of the few cars i've ever seen hold it's value so well.

 

I'm trying to sell a Scion tC right now. I don't quite believe the numbers they're quoting for one. It's been actively for sale since September, I've dropped the asking price three times, and still not even a nibble. I'm also the low price in my zip code with a 100 mile radius. I'm a bit skeptical about those projections.

And yes, I'm SO glad I have an original hardtop TT Supra! (not an NA conversion)

 

Wasn't it just last month that everyone was complaining about how low the blue book value was on their 2IS? My, how times have changed... and so quickly!!!

I don't believe in that stuff. Things change everyday, and who knows what will happen in a few years.

 

So we take a GIANT inital hit and then it levels off.
