Thanks for the quick reponse!
Well, with the switch, you flip a switch and have the instant ability to enter destinations while moving... When the switch is flipped (speed sensor cut) your nav will not function properly but you will be able to enter destinations for about 1-2 miles... Then, after 1-2 miles, you will have to flip the switch off, and then back on again...

With the software hack, you spend about 15 seconds every time you turn your car on entering a sequence of screen presses... And then for the rest of the time your car is on, you can enter destinations while moving...

Installing a switch is more work than the software hack, obviously...

Yes, exactly... The hard part is fitting the switch in the dash

I'm a complete noob to things like this & I did it about 4 weeks ago & have loved it ever since. It's really not that hard if you take your time to get the switch done right.

I HIGHLY doubt that since they have been doing it on every toyota and honda and Im sure others since forever! Besides if it were true, then then the 2008 RX which has been out for a while now would have it removed and since we havent heard anything about that being true for them, Im pretty sure the 08 IS will have the I agree crap too.

Joe you're getting yours in a week? Lucky you. Those of us on the east coast have to wait for the Sept. 24th boat, so I should have mine early next month.

It's actually already been confirmed that there is no "I agree" on the 08 anymore...

Instead, the disclaimer screen will show for 5 or 10 seconds (I can't remember which) and automatically go away...

I wonder if 2008 ISes have 7.1? I hope I don't get stuck having to buy the new DVD the same week I take delivery of my car. I know the discs aren't cheap.

^^ I am sure "lobuxracer" can pull this info up for us in a matter of seconds...
But if I had to guess, I am going to say yes it should be the new one since they updated the "I agree" disclaimer.
