Correct. In fact, with the 7.1 firmware, you have no choice but to wait 5 seconds for the "I agree" screen to go away because there is no longer a button to press.

So if one buys the 7.1 disc, can they create their own hybrid disc that would both allow the overide while moving and the 5 second-I agree disappear?

No. Only the latest firmware, V7.1, has the 5-second I agree disappear, and there is no override in that firmware.

The only firmware that has the override is V5.1 and there is no 5-second auto-disappear on that.

So you have to take your pick: override or auto-I-Agree, but you can't have both

hey guys i am having issues with this all the sudden.

i copied all the files from the 2008 nav disc out of a 2008 model to my hard drive. I then went and bought some memorex dvd+r dl disc from fry's. I tried using imageburn to burn the disc and it completed successful, but when i stick it in my car I get the same chinese writing that other people get. I am not doing anything fancy like using the 5.1 loader on the 7.1 disc. This is straight up just a copy of the files off a 7.1 disc to my hard drive then straight to a dual layer disc. I also burned it with prassi as you can see here with the same iso9660/udf settings

I loaded it and pulled the tv-1 fuse for 1 min and put it back and still get the same "invalid dvd disc" please see dealer. Do you guys think it's the media i am using? memorex dvd+r dl is rated the exact same as verbatim.

Thanks for any info.

Is your booktype set to dvdrom? Did you check your burned disc to see if the file structure is the same as your original? Memorex is not rated the same as Verbatim, but I've heard of Memorex working, so I doubt it's the disc.

Huh, well I dont know about making a '08 hybird disc, but I used imgburn to burn a copy of the '08 disc just as it is and it worked fine in my car. I dont like leaving my original disc in there so I make backup copies.

Yeah, i have it all set to dvd rom.

Memorex and Verbatim are both made by RITEKF1 and/or MCC / or MBI (depending on the country of origin). same dye sometimes, same plant sometimes, different name on the outside.

Let me try imageburn again. What sucks is these DL disc aren't cheap.

Success! It was the booktype setting. (thanks lobux) woohoo, no more i agree for me on my 2007. Now it's time to make the 5.1 with 7.1 map data.

for those of you wanting to know where to change this in imageburn's free software, here's some shots. Plus a few steps on how it was successfully burned.

1. go tell image burn to set the booktype correctly. tools/drive/changebook type/ select your burner, and done.

2. tell image burn options for file system ISO9660+udf like the threads states a few pages ago.

Which hack? The wire hack or the 5.1 loading hack?

Like he said a few months ago, this does work. I was able to test a 5.1 loading.kwi with 7.1 map data hybrid disc. Tested it tonight and It works. My friend is trying it on his 2008 but having some issues. He is going to try again tomorrow.
