I personally would like to see someone pioneer some nitrous on the IS. I say you do it, take some dynos. qt's and post up the results. Otherwise I will unsubscribe from this thread.

i sense a big KABOOM!! in your future...High Compression + nitrous = detonation, I wouldnt try it, it seems like too much of a risk. Unless you have money to blow, then by all means go ahead. I have a question for you..when you say you need more power..do you mean for stoplight confrontations? on the highway? Cause if you need more power for everyday driving Nitrous is not a sound investment. It's like buying a 2 seater convertible to haul the family around.

I never really raced much of the line since i've ownedmostly turbo cars. It's true what you guys say about high compression plus nitrous not a good thing. To keep an eye constantly on my a/f ratio i'll have to install a wideband. I'll already thinking it's too much of an investment+too much risk= discouraged. I'll wait and talk to dynotune and see what they say.

If you combined it with methanol or water/methanol injection, you might have something. The tricky part is getting it all to work together.
Some of the other salient features - you'll need to tap into the actual throttle position, not use a switch on the accelerator because the throttle will close if something bad starts to happen. If the throttle closes and you are still spraying, well, it's not good. The other thing to be especially careful about is the plastic manifold. If you get any fuel puddling in the manifold and have a backfire, you're going to be calling a tow truck and buying a new manifold.
Just a couple of things to consider...I still think it would be really cool to use a 350 manifold with the holes for the port injectors and plumb your nitrous/methanol there. Less opportunities for backfires, and super simple installation. I'm just not sure if everything would line up right for that.

Talk to your tuner about it. If it isn't making sense to you, it would be better done by a professional. I'm not an automotive professional, but I grew up with race cars and bikes, and I've done a lot of stuff with a lot of cars and bikes over the years. I'm one of those unusual people who understands both the mechanics and the electronics. And I still choose to do something else for a living because car stuff doesn't pay as well as what I do.

We know LMS has one already but, they haven't posted any kind of Hp gains. Or at least not that i'm aware of. If you have this information let us know. I wonder if we're ever going to see the BLITZ here in the USA.
