Default weird TPMS story

i have 19's, i guess my wife got a screw in the left rear. I went to get it patched and the tech said there was something rattling around inside my tire, so we removed it and there was the busted off TPMS sensor. I guess at some point in time when the tire was low it broke off. Anyway we used some 3m heavy duty tape and mounted the sensor to the rim. Works fine. Im thinking of doing this with my volks when i get them, either buying a another set of sensors or removing them from the valve stem since they have no impact in relation to the stem itself according to the tech.

anyway i cannot think of any other way to trick the system, and i do like having them in the tires since our roads are crappy and getting another leak is bound to happen........

another sensor quoted from the dealer for me was $120 a piece... unless you have 500 laying around i would say just use the old ones.
