Try finding the GFM 350 with all options but with Sports Package.. :P For some reason most of the dealers were giving me Premium only... blah for wood.

I've had my GFM since June and even yesterday had a co-worker stop me in the hall and say, "Is that Lexus yours? What do they call that color? It's absolutely beautiful!" --- I've noticed I get most of the comments when people see it under lights in a parking lot or street lights. I think those really show off the "play" in the paint. My photos don't seem to pick that up.

The only gripe I have is paint matching seems like it would be a total PITA...

i like that pic of the backside of the mirror...did you use a flash to get that texture from the paint?

Surprisingly, paint matching won't be as hard as you think. The pearlflake that the paint manufacturer uses is the same kind of stuff as a normal metalflake ("mica" in lexus-speak) additive, it just has that extra dimension to it. PPG calls it their "xyrillic pearl" flakes, and they're actually uber-expensive, and a VERY small quantity (usually less than 10g) will mix in to coat an entire car.

another car with xyrillic pearl, and a special place in my heart:

Yeah, it's not hard to match at all. I've already had a couple of things painted, and they match perfectly. You just have to make sure the painter is using the authentic 074 Lexus/Toyota paint and you'll be fine.

That pic was with no flash on a sunny day. I love how this car changes so many different colors depending on light.

for all the gfm owners, espically if you live in AZ.. can you see when it gets a bit of dust on it? I'm considering trading my obsidian black in for this color and I'd love to know how hard the upkeep is on it.
