I think this is a GREAT idea for Lexus.. Reason being - before this, I was afraid Lexus was going to become the next BMW. Oddly enough, I'm not a big fan of BMW. I prefer Mercedes and Lexus (and Cadillac, of course). Like old Cadillacs, I prefer soft, warm, comfortable interiors with soft rides. The Lexus GS and IS certainly aren't soft and warm anymore (to me). The outgoing GS felt much more "luxurious" to me - and the new one feels just like a BMW. Cold, hard and almost uncomfortable.
Now, with this new performance division, they can leave the cold, hard interiors and stiff suspensions where they belong - and give us back our warm and cozy, luxurious vehicles..
i am guessing that the factory wouldnt be jerking the dealers around just for sport
Yeah, but I'm afraid we haven't heard anything regarding the "F" division from anyone official yet... Considering the source of the "F stands for Fast" story, I'm still waiting patiently for something more concrete...

Exactly. Everything regarding the nomenclature, the logo, and it's origins is still hearsay and rumor.
