I've been wondering too what it looks like at night.
Can't you change the color around the Nav buttons to blue? Can someone post a real life pic like the first 2 pics of nightime shot with the blue buttons ariound Nav. Real life pics please.

The nice thing is it's simpler to change green to blue than it is to red or amber. The voltage requirement for blue and green is slightly higher, so if it's already set for green, blue is a cakewalk. Red or amber would be very bright.
I changed the amber to red on my tC. Anyone changing from amber to green or blue has to modify the circuit board on the HVAC control or the LEDs are not as bright as the gauge cluster.

I think the backlight should have been made brighter. You can even hardly see those on door.
The dashboard looks boring and cheap too for a car with this price.
These fine tuning and eye catching stuff are well made by Europians; Japanese may excel that after a decade or so.

It took 28 LEDs to do my tC. I seriously doubt it's a single piece. But I'm in the same category as omgitsroy - I don't even notice the green - so I doubt I'll do anything to change it.

I had no idea that the IS dash lights up Christmas-light green It reminds me of my friend's Pilot, which has bright green buttons & gauges, and bright red needles... I love Christmas, but not 24/7
Is the color true to the pics, or does it look different in person? This will be a definite decision maker on my next purchase.

Sorry to bring this post back from the dead, but as my purchase date gets closer, I'm starting to do some homework.

The pictures you see are with a longer than usual shutter speed, which makes all the lighting all that much brighter. The green is not very noticeable as most of the attention is on the instrument cluster and nav screen. All the green is very subtle. Get in a 2IS some evening and see for yourself.
