Second year in a row now. Nice. Wonder if we continue to see just variants of this engine in the years to come and then win consecutive awards like Nissan is doing (13 wins).

With all the direct injection and hybrid systems this is exiting times in the engine world.

Haha I shared this with some of my gear monkey friends and they called BS.

I'm also surprised the Honda K series motor didn't show up (100 hp/liter, iVTEC, ULEV...)

they made a LOT of changes to the new vq35. It is now smoother and more free-revving.
