IS 250 RWD with ML Special Order?
First post...hopefully new IS 250 owner soon
I live in the Bay Area, CA and was looking for a MRM IS 250 RWD with NAV/ML and the local dealers are telling me that the ML is a special order for all of the west coast regions (from Alaska to Tex) is this true or complete hogwash? And is it worth waiting 3-4 months and paying a premium of at least 2k for the ML?
Much love,
Lucy

It's complete BS. I had dealers in the Bay Area ask whether I want ML or no ML with NV when I email them for a quote. Of course, the ML may be limited to certain color choices depending on what they have. Lexus of Stevens Creek and Magennus Lexus of Fremont may carry it since they are the largest dealers in NorthCal.

Well, not complete BS. For the west coast, ML is usually bundled with Nav and usually comes only with the Luxury or Sport pkgs. Most of the IS250s shipped to CA are Prem pkgs w/Nav. It's a $940 upgrade over the stock radio and a $1440 upgrade over the Nav. IMHO, ML is definitely worth it, if you tried to add the extra power, better speakers, system integration, and a 6 disc DVD player, you will spend alot more, plus you get a 4yr warranty - hard to beat if you're into audio & video stuff . . .

Regarding whether ML is worth it- do a search for Levinson (or Pioneer) and you will get a ton of threads about the topic. Besides, we can't really tell you if it's worth $2k, since we don't know what your financial situation is.
