How would you rate the seats in the IS compare to other cars
Simple question how would you rate the seats in the IS compare to other cars you own or have driven. My current car is only good for 1.5 hours max driving time before may back starts to hurt.

i personally think lexus could of done a better job with the seats in the IS350.
a much better job
they arent sport like
they dnt really hug you.
and after a month or two the leather looks really worn out and the seats begin to creek.

I agree pretty much with everything said here. The seats are good for cruising as they are supremely comfortable but lack support in sporting cornering situations. Far less supportive than the bucket seats I had in my RSX. However they are far more comfortable; the leather is supple, soft, and therefore prone to wear unlike the cardboard our Mercedes has.

FWIW, I've had better, but they're not bad. I've driven 6 hours straight in the car without any issues.
AFA lateral support, when the car was delivered the lumbar adjustment was just about peaked out and I thought the seat felt like an old bench seat from the 60's. Then I backed off the lumbar adjustment, and amazingly enough, there is lateral support there. You just have to pull back on the lumbar to find it. It's still no Recaro or even TT Supra, but it's tolerable for a car with an 80 pound driver's seat.

x2. The seats in the coupe were a great compromise between comfort and lateral support. The IS is definitely less aggressive but more comfortable. It's kinda reminds me of my tempurpedic bed.
