Limited Slip Differential

then don't make an unbased idiotic comment. the is350 has a quasi-lsd, and its more than adequate for the car and what you can put it through. the is250 has nothing of the sort.

I just checked on lexus.ca, and if what you say is true, it is odd that they wouldn't list the LSD on the bulleted list of features added by the sport package: http://www.lexus.ca/lexus/experience...262T&year=2007

Although the IS does not come with a true limited slip differential...$1,500 bucks can get you a fine TOM's piece from japan.

It's good to know there is at least one high quality drive train upgrade out there.

It does, I have tried it as well. But as soon as you start taking a turn at any significant speed, and the speed differential is great between the inner and outer tire, it becomes an open diff. The mechanism works sorta like an LSD, but it is not a real LSD. I think the though behind it was to act as an LDS prior to VDIM engaging, ya know that little bit of slide VDIM allows before engaging.
I still smoke the living daylights out of the inner tire when comming out of tight hairpins auto-x'ng if I apply the power too early.
