Trading in 06 IS for an 07
I currently own an 06 IS350 blk/blk, sports package, Headlamp washers, park assist, nav pretty much fully loaded except for ML. Next week i am trading my car in for pretty much 07 IS with same options. My car currently have 9k miles and its costing me around $4450 difference for the new one. Does that sound right? i mean i am very happy with the car but i had some rattle issues with the moonroof and been to the dealer few times and its getting very annoying , that i have to blast the stereo to enjoy the car. i am thinking of getting one with ML. how much extra should i expect to pay for ML option?

I guess if you think it's worth it. I wouldn't for the same exact car..If it was like 250 to 350 or at least a different color then I'd think it'd be a lil different. They're all gonna rattle here and there though.

In my opinion, that's a waste of money. Think about how disappointed you're going to be with the 07 has the same (or worse) issues, and it will. All cars have things go wrong, and I've heard numerous people already talking about rattles on their 2007s that I have on my 2006.
Why not give the dealer a few chances to fix the rattles? That would be my course of action before dropping $4k on an identical car.

Hey Salil,
I was just thinking after I was done talking to you about this. Just drop the the $4,000 on a nice set of wheels and a drop.
Like 15951 said, what are you going to do if you have those same rattles again? Your going to owe $36K on a car with the same problems, instead of $32K.
If I were you I would spend it on mods, instead of a new car.

I think it is a very, very poor use of money, but the choice is yours. You are never going to get a perfect car, so what happens when the next one has a rattle? Are you going to trade that one in as well? It's not logical, at least to me.
The cost of the NAV system by itself is $2,550, the combination of NAV/ML is $3,990......so the ML extra cost is $1,440.
