I (Technique) got my IS350 last night...

Congratulations on getting your IS!! If I were you, I would keep the ISP wheels, I think they look really good and have a nice graphite finish on them that make them look different from the OEM wheels (which also look good).

yeah , what he said
Glad you got your IS. Better watch parking it at a Lowes store ! So Sapphire black is like last years Blue Onyx? Can't go wrong with blue, easy on the eyes. Yeah we told lexus about this 'Black Box' order issue thing last year. No change.
Well if your ever drivibf through Virginia, swing by and visit the SWVA Lexus group. You will notice there isn't many IS down this way, south of Culpepper, which is nice. The IS350 still get's second looks and we're always asked when we take the 350 out, 'What kinda Lexus is that'? I always reply, 'the fast one'.
Congrats Technique. Guess I'm still long wait guy

Thanks man!
As far as the special order, unfortunately there was no word... Lexus is TOTALLY silent on what is going on until your car is built and on a boat headed to the US... It's the worst ordering process I've ever seen for a car... It's bad for business, which hurts their dealers and Lexus... Lexus should take a look at BMW's special ordering process and take a few lessons...

Congrats man! I'm surprised you didn't do the hacks right there in the dealer's lot.

So wait, I'm confused:
there's two nav hacks that can be done? One for destinations, and the other for mp3 folders, bluetooth dialing, etc? I thought the whole point was that you ground the PKB signal and bypass the VSS? Wouldn't that then enable everything? HELP!
oh yea, congrats on the new ride. But I still maintain that GFM is cooler than black sapphire.

well... in this case.. there are 3 ways to do the hack.
1. Permanent Nav Hack (enables phone book, mp3, bluetooth dialing, etc, but no nav destination input)
2. Technique's Switched VSS Nav Hack (enables phone book, mp3, bluetooth dialing, etc, and nav destination input via VSS interrupt with switch)
3. ISTundra Switched Nav Hack (enables phone book, mp3, bluetooth dialing, etc via switch, so when the switch is ON, Nav Hack will be ON, when the switch is OFF, Nav Hack will be OFF and all wires will be connected as OEM).
Make sense?

Should we wait until the weather warms up? As long as the weather is not freezing, I am fine going for a drive... It will just have to be a slower drive since tires don't stick well in cold weather... Maybe we should start a new thread for this...
