Does anyone find their Sun Roof Noisey?
I don't mean while it is closed.
But while you have it open. It just seems alot noiser to me than previous cars I have been in, and most of those have the sun roof deflector.. does that really make a difference noise wise?
I find that at 40mph that I gotta close it because its, well, ridiculous.

Are you opening it all the way or to the "O" dot just before a full turn on the controller to wide open?
If you just take it to the "O" it's not any worse than any other car I've had. If I open to the full position, it makes a loud buffeting, turbulence type of noise over 40.

It is rather noisy. Noisy enough that I considered getting a sunroof windscreen, and opted not to get one.
However, it is not noisier than other cars that I've been in. Perhaps because of the low ceiling, your ears are closer to the source of wind noise...

Every car I've had with a sunroof and no visor was too noisy to use. The resonant thing has actually caused pain at times. Honestly, I wish the sun roof trend would die out. I would rather save 30 - 40 lbs, lower the outer roof line, and reduce the chance for leaks and noise (rattles, wind, etc.).

I don't htink i've even really driven with my sunroof open since I've bought the car.
All cars has the resonating sound, my Audi A4 did it, and our RX330 does it. It was strange, as I don't remember ever having this problem before, but I've never really owned a car with a sunroof that slid backwards. My 1995 HOnda Prelude SR-V sunroof tilted, so that might be the reason I was surprised on the resonating sound.

I smoke, so I open mine 2 clicks to let out the smoke. It is not noisey, to me. On a nice day, I might open it all the way. That's okay, too. However, opening the window, any amount at all, is TOO noisey, and TOO windy. If it didn't have the sunroof, I'd sell it; that's how much I hate the driver-window noise/wind. My Solara had a much better wind flow pattern around the window.
