HD Radio for Lexus !!
It looks like company called DICE made a product to integrate an HD tuner to the factory stereo. I was waiting for a product like this since I like the L.A area radio stations. What do you guys think?

I am EXTREMELY pleased with the sound quality I'm getting from the XM
and the stock ML system. No need to look further.
This is the first car that satellite radio produced a high end sound

FYI for anyone still interested,
I talked to the Dice Rep (Jessica), and she said that the hd reciever actually comes with IPOD integration built in, and that you just need to get the optional $39.99 IPOD dock cable to use it..

sounds promising. Does anyone know where it would be installed though? I was interested in the HD kit and adding the iPod cable... however, the cable doesn't look too long, and I'd want to put my iPod in the glove or center console.

With XM, I have great sound, tremendous variety, and no commercials on the music channels I listen too. I don't listen to FM anymore because I don't like commercials and I don't like DJs. Why would I want HD radio for more of the same?

HD radio supports multicasting several music streams per station, so depending on what market you live in, you may find some genres that aren't available on analog FM radio. Nothing like the variety you'll find on satellite radio, obviously, but some people don't listen to enough radio to justify spending the $12.95 a month.

let's try to keep the discussion about the HD Radio and not the hd vs xm deal.. everyone has their own preferences and so lets just let that be..
re: to the ipod dock cable + hd radio.. i believe itll be similar to the ipod integration kit.. so the box for the hd radio will fit whereever that ipod int kit would've gone and u'd just run that cable out to wherever you want it to.. ie in the cup hold area or what nots..

Why anyone would want HD radio is beyond me. Yes, it will sound better, but you still have to listen to the same 40-minutes of commercials every hour and the same five songs played over and over. Go SAT and never go back.
