I got my IS250 less than a month ago. The heater for the passenger seat comes on 9 times out of 10 when there is someone else in the car (without turning the switch to heat). I have already taken it to the dealer once to have it checked out, but they couldn't find anything. It is back at the dealership today for them to take another look at it and install the plates.

Any ideas on what could be causing this or anything helpful to pass on to the service people?

I dont' have that problem in my IS but it happens in my GS350. I barely use it in fla so I never take it in.

 

does the red light come on or does the seat just feel hot?

 

The red light does not come on. The seat just gets hot.
