YOu should definately go with HID fogs, because they are much brighter, draws less electric power, and last much longer than halogen bulbs.
I bought some OEM xenon ballasts and a set of rebased 9006 philips bulbs from a seller on ebay (I think he's akinamart? or something), and they work very good and very bright.
I wanted to go with xenondepot kits, but their stuffs are not very cheap..

JDM HIDs are ~1400USD I think. You can get aftermarket HID kits for ~350USD and up.

Actually it will draw the same or may be even more. HID fogs require less watts but more start up AMPS.

I think spending $350+ on a HID kit not including installation is kind of expensive just for fogs.

Wont this work pretty good for the fogs? They are 4000k.

I would go with the HID's. Yes they are more expensive, but in the long run, it will probably be cheaper for you. I've tried bulbs like Silverstars, and despite looking a lot brighter and more HID-like than regular halogens, I've never had any luck with them as far as longevity goes.

another hid vote.... PIAA suck...IMO... with previous piaa's that i bought they were perfect in color for the first... i dunno 3 months... anything after that they gradually fade to like a yellowish stock color. Never will i buy piaa's again.
