Should I be worried my license plates have been lost? I bought my 06 IS350 on 9/30/06 from Longo Lexus (So. Cal.). I called Longo and the receptionist said I should just wait longer and it can take 12 weeks. From what I remember, I thought the temporary registration was only good for 3 months.... anyone know how long it is in fact good?

How long did it take for you guys (especially those who bought in Sept./Oct. this year)? I've even seen 2007's w/ license plates...

I know that when I ordered my tag last time it took almost 12 weeks... But then again it was a personalized tag....

I got mine about 1 month after I bought my car. I purchased my car in 10-13-06. im in Orange county.

The time varies. I received my plates a little over a months time. But then again..who in this area drives around with License Plates?

haha yea, i prefer not to put them on, but it would be nice to at least receive them. do you know if any of the new CA plates start with a 6 yet?

I bought my IS from Longo, it took about 10 weeks for the plates to arrive. Since they do so much volume (Toyotas/Lexus) it does take longer if you bought from Longo. Last year when I bought my Acura from Keyes, it took about 6 weeks . . .

ok thanks, that's actually really comforting. i remember my S2000 from Thousand Oaks Honda only took a couple weeks in 2005...

Sometimes it takes awhile. I bought mine out of state and did everything myself. Most of the wait time was getting the MSO from Toyota. The dealer does not have these and it has to come from Toyota.

I never received my normal plate from the dealer, the personalized one took 5 months.

Bought mine near the end of 10/2006 in So Cal, got my plates in less than 4 weeks.

the temporary reg. is valid for 6 months. my dealer (not longo) said that if i wanted to leave that on in place of the plates it was ok. i have my plates and have not put them on yet either. breakwater blue looks new on any given day.
